While it may be true that Toki wo Kizamu Uta is a much better alternative to Mag Mell's mix for first season, I think it's a little unfair to be saying that a song is great just because, well, last season's opening was terrible(unless it was done by the same artist, that is.) I suppose that would be akin to comparing something bad to something much worse and saying that the bad thing is great!

I really prefer Tori no Uta over both Natsukage and Aozora because, for me, it has a catchier tune. Aozora has a very nice, calming melody, but Lia's voice just doesn't do it for me. In both Natsukage and Aozora, her vocal quality takes on a sound that I can only describe as flat. Not flat as in a half-step below the correct note but rather that it doesn't possess the full and round quality that is present in Tori no Uta. At this point in time, I really can't think of any better way to describe her voice, so I apologize if this mumbo jumbo doesn't make any sense to you. =/

Also, as a side note, I prefer the instrumental version of Natsukage much more so than the vocal version.

Thanks for the comment!

I think one thing that makes Toki wo Kizamu Uta sound so much better than it is is the quality of the OP of the previous Clannad show... Compared to its predecessor, the new OP is almost godlike.

What are your thoughts on Aozora and Natsukage? I prefer them to Tori no Uta, personally.
