It's just a taste, but a very good taste and you are correct in that they build upon each other until the stunningly beautiful conclusion in Origination. I'll never forget the last few episodes which somehow managed to outdo each other :p @depthchargex

I finished the first season and thought it was alright, but nothing amazing. Watched second season and enjoyed the character development more, and then the OVA and Origination was just unbelievably good. A major component in enjoying it requires that you be able to form that bond with the characters and setting and be able to relate on the show’s terms. What that show did for me was demonstrate that things don’t necessarily need to be happening to be enjoyable. As long as you can follow along with the characters and take delight in their little discoveries, you’ll be able to get a good amount of mileage out of it.
