@kadian1364
I wonder if Hirano's lack of suckage is on account of the fact that the song buries her in the middle where it's not as noticeable.

@Diego
That is true with regard to the infamous Arc. Super Driver though doesn't need the Arc to make it sound bad since I thought that piece was fairly dreadful.

A good song, certainly - although when it comes to perking up one's mood it doesn't have quite the same effect as Hare Hare Yukai. But not bad, not bad at all.

It's possible (regrettably so) that in some viewers' minds, Tomare might be considered a tainted item purely by its association with The Arc That Shall Not Be Named.

Pretty much agreed on your opinions of "Super Driver" and "Tomare!" The latter doesn't show as much of Hirano's musical weaknesses because she's in character and in chorus with the other two. I even prefer "Tomare!" over "Bouken Desho Desho". The first season's opening animation was memorable and all, but I have no love for its accompanying music.

@Reltair
Yeah, with Endless Eight souring the experience and Sighs feeling just really... not urgent in terms of motivating me to watch it, I'll be keeping my memories of the first season as the firm representative of the franchise in my mind. So it goes, and with it, "Hare Hare" will be what I think of when I think "Haruhi ED" as well.

Yeah, first season Haruhi was so refreshing and new at that time. Now it's getting to be meh and Endless Eight arc didn't help either.

Tomare! is okay, but like you said - Hare Hare Yukai is way more memorable. I'll probably forget about Tomare! and still recall Hare Hare Yukai when I think about Haruhi.
