Well, thank you for bringing it to my attention I tend not to watch too many mecha shows, so tracks like this have a tendency slip under my radar, but some of the really good ones like Gigantic Formula’s main theme just blew me away. It’s a testament to how powerful of an effect that track had on me. Will have to check out the Gundam Unicorn music if/when that gets released.

Woohoo! MAIN THEME v.0…I’m glad that my nomination for that week turned a few heads towards suwano’s works. I’m really looking forward to his works in the upcoming gundam unicorn ova, and judging from the two pieces we get to hear in the preview trailer, he’s not going to let us down.

Yup, KOKIA’s been pretty high on my list of singers that I really like. I definitely agree that ethereal is the best way to describe her voice, though she has shown an ability to sing normally too like when she sang Red Garden.

And yeah, Gigantic Formula is a fantastic soundtrack! What an excellent introduction to Sawano

majestic, that is definitely the word to describe Gigantic Formula’s OST. loved the cello renditions too

‘Ai no Melody’’s by KOKIA, one of my favorite singers…she does nice etheral sounding music.

I was told that the only saving grace of that movie was the music, especially this song, which closes the movie out. I’m certainly curious to know whether the movie was actually any good :p

I forget where I first heard ‘Ai no Melody’, but I instantly liked it and found out that it was from ‘Giniro no Kami no Agito’. So I promptly went and watched that movie as well, good stuff.

Still one of my favorites on my playlist. ^^;

Oh wow, I missed all those earlier themes but I’m going to take my time sampling some of the songs that were featured then. I think those would make a rather nice compilation. I’m glad to have participated in the more recent themes though as I only got wind of the club fairly recently. Taka it was that brought it to my attention. I must say it is fun to listen to different nominations as I got to appreciate a wider range of composers and musical styles. Reading the different opinions are of course, interesting. And hey, Congrats on the milestone. Oh, in case you’re wondering…I go by a different name of Mal. (^_^)
