Anime Instrumentality Live Show (Jan. 21)
We’ve been on an anime composer binge as of late and for those of you who’ve grown incredibly incredibly bored of this topic (though we hope you aren’t!), this month’s Anime Instrumentality Live Show will be the last one we’ll have in a while talking about anime composers. And by a while, I mean maybe 3 months or so. What we’ll do next… well, you’ll see!
But for now, we’ll gush about anime composers just a bit more. The twist this time is that we’ll touch upon composers we wished wrote more anime music. So if you’re interested in finding out who we think deserves more opportunities to shine, go to our YouTube channel, the link to the video if you want to join the chat, or simply go below. We’ll start the broadcast on Thursday, January 20, 2016 at 10pm, US Pacific time. The countdown to the event is here if you don’t want to do annoying time-based calculations.
For the broadcast, there is a methodology that we used for choosing the composers and we’ll talk about that during the actual live show (namely, the people in question still need to be able to write music). On top of that, it won’t necessarily be a Top N list. For this format, we all got together and picked about 3-5 composers we felt fit our definitions and that we wanted to talk about/gush over.
As usual, YouTube’s policy keeps us from playing actual music during the live show, so if any of the names on the Live Show interest you at all, hang on. We’ll be putting up full-length music tracks in the follow-up post so that you can hear it for yourself! Either way, we hope to see some of you there! We’ll keep an eye on chat to respond to your questions or comments when applicable.
